Alphonse Mucha, an artist and poster illustrator was born in 1860 in the town of Ivančice. He started his career as an illustrator in Paris in 1894. His works are easily recognizable as the use of bright colours, depictions of beautiful women and stunning, highly decorative backgrounds are the key aspects that made his artworks iconic and unique.
