It was at that point in life where I realized that some things last forever.
My experience with art started at a young age, a long time ago, such a long time that I could barely remember. The concept of art always seemed so familiar yet foreign, and to me, I had been exploring such a concept for my entire life up to this point.
It all started small, of course. About 10 years ago I was still just a child who carries a sketchbook wherever I go, drawing and sketching to pass time. Looking back, it was probably my way of becoming aware of myself and my thoughts, I would record ideas and images inspired by my surroundings in my sketchbook. Before I realized, I had a collection of sketchbooks full of imageries emerged from childish imaginations.
My habit of keeping a sketchbook for ideas didn't fade away after that, to me, it meant that I can stay connected with my art during the day. It is a way of expressing and self-communication, thus, my sketchbooks always meant very much to me and had a significant impact on my early art developments.
When I got older, I started to explore different mediums of art and started to create refined and more finished artworks instead of just ideas, although not much progress was made during such time as I often find that exploring vague ideas are more interesting than transforming them into finished artworks. There was a time of struggle where I can't seem to pick up any motivation when it comes to art, although I never stopped recording ideas, I found refining artworks to be much more difficult, soon I had lost a noticeable amount of interest in art.
Despite my struggle with art and my diminishing motivation, art was still a thing that I couldn't give up on after so many years. Therefore, my sketching habit never ceased despite the difficulties. Yet finally, I was able to continue pursuing my artistic developments in the year of 2017, with the arrival of my first digital tablet. And from that point, my experience with art and creativity completely since my discovery of digital art, with a new found art medium, I was finally able to create much more refined and appealing artwork than what I had made before. The digital art form definitely had the greatest influence on my current artistic ability and the development of my style as I often feel that I'm allowed more artistic freedom with digital art.
With a new found art form, I was finally able to continue and fully dedicate myself into artistic developments. I finally regained my interest and motivation in making art, for the first time in many years, I finally felt a sense of belonging in my journey of progression in creating. The discovery of digital art offered me a way to finally transcript my ideas into full pictures that are clearer than the ones I've made prior to having such possession, thus thankfully, I was finally able to continuously progress in something that I am interested in for all my living years up to this point.
To this day, the concept of art had become an inseparable part of my identity and life, I still keep sketchbooks for ideas that come often unexpectedly during the day and draws regularly. For me, art had become the most effective way for me to express myself. I often contemplate or regret some impactful decisions I've made in life, but I do not regret any of my experiences of art despite the hardships, for it is, undoubtfully, one of the most influential aspects of my life.
